On Recollections, I discuss my personal thoughts and memories of progressive rock and related music. On this month’s show, I will be discussing and playing the music from my personal recollections of the first time I heard music from “Lukala & Friends”. Later in the show will be my “Versus” segment, where I will play and compare an original musical work, to its later prog cover. This month’s versus segment will feature Ravel’s Bolero and its later prog cover by the late, great Frank Zappa. For you “completest” out there, that segment should be an interesting one to explore. I will also play one of my favorites for you and this month it will be from Atomic Rooster. Later in the show, I will be presenting prog from a non-prog band, and this month it will be from the German heavy rock band the Scorpions. To end the show I will relay a concert recollection from Emerson, Lake & Powell that took place on 11/3/1986 in Phoenix AZ.
