On this month’s show I will be discussing and playing the music from my personal recollections of the first time I heard the best live version of Deep Purple’s “Space Truckin'”, and a song that should hit home for some of the guys in the audience, and that song is “Shesmovedon” by Porcupine Tree . Later in the show will be my “Versus” segment, where I will play and compare an original musical work, to its later prog cover. This month the classical piece to be compared is “Allegro barbaro” from composer Béla Bartók, and its later prog cover by ELP. Also this month, I will present prog from a non-prog band, and it will be Led Zeppelin’s “Achilles Last Stand”.
