Qirsh
Qirsh were born in Savona, Italy, in 1993. They took their first steps between school parties and contests for emerging bands, initially presenting themselves as a pop-rock cover band. Between 1996 and 2001 they were touring the pubs and clubs of the Ligurian Riviera, with a song list of more than two hours, based on Pink Floyd, Queen, U2, and others.
In addition to the covers, there was room for their own songs. In 1997 the first album, “Una città per noi“, was released, with 12 songs between pop and psychedelic, although their style was not yet “mature”.
And that’s how in 2014, under the Lizard Records label, the group’s the first ‘serious’ album: “Sola Andata” was released; a concept album of 9 songs, each with its own style and atmosphere, but with a common theme: travel.
In 2020, ‘Aspera Tempora part 1’ was released
The lineup of the band has been practically unchanged for more than 20 years: Marco Fazio and Leonardo Digilio joined right after the 3 founders Daniele Olia, Andrea Torello and Michele Torello, and then Pasquale Aricò a few years later; in 2020 Giulio Mondo also joins the Qirsh for the recordings of Aspera Tempora.
