Recollections is a monthly live show hosted by the founder, curator and operator of Progressive Rock AZUSA, Sam Butters. On this month’s show, I will be discussing and playing the music from my personal recollections of the first time I heard music from the classic rock band Heart. Later in the show will be my “Versus” segment, where I will play and compare an original musical work by Buffalo Springfield, to its later prog cover by Rush. For you “completest” out there, that segment should be an interesting one to explore. I will also play one of my favorites for you and this month it will be from the Japanese prog band Ars Nova. Later in the show, I will be presenting prog from a non-prog band, and this month it will be by Alice Cooper. To end the show, I will present a live track of a 2011 concert by Renaissance; a Show that I wished I could have attended.
