On Recollections, I discuss my personal thoughts and memories of progressive rock and related music. These recollections will stretch back to my teenage years through the present era. On this month’s show, I will be discussing and playing the music from my personal recollections of the first time I heard music from the jam band Particle. Later in the show will be my “Versus” segment, where I will play and compare an original musical work, to its later prog cover. This month I will be comparing the psychedelic rock song “3 Miles High” by The Byrds to it’s later prog cover by 3. For you “completest” out there, that segment should be an interesting one to explore. I will also play one of my favorites for you and this month it will be from 3. That makes 2 different selections in this show by this short lived band from the mid-1980’s. Later in the show, I will be presenting prog from a non-prog band, and this month it will be from the British folk rock band Fairport Convention.
