Hosted by Sam Butters, the founder of Progressive Rock AZUSA. On Recollections, I discuss my personal thoughts and memories of progressive rock and related music. These recollections will stretch back to my teenage years through the present era. On this month’s show, I will be discussing and playing an eclectic mix of mid to late 1960’s apocalyptic music by Zager & Evans, followed by Barry McGuire, and 1970 music from Carlos Santana. Later in the show will be my “Versus” segment, where I will play and compare an original musical work, titled My Back Pages by Bob Dylan, to its later prog cover by The Nice. For you “completest” out there, that segment should be an interesting one to explore. Also, I will be presenting prog from a non-prog band, and this month the band will be The Who performing Quadrophenia.
