On this month’s show I will be discussing and playing the music from my personal recollections of the first time I heard the prog rock XMAS tunes and songs “I Believe In Father Christmas” by ELP, Keith Emerson’s version of the Troika, and the first time I heard music by the holiday season favorite The Trans-Siberian Orchestra. Later in the show will be my “Versus” segment, where I will play and compare an original musical work, to its later prog cover. This month I will be comparing the classical favorite “The Nutcraker Suite” to its later prog cover by ELP. For you “completest”, that segment should be an interesting one to explore. Also, I will be presenting prog from a non-prog artist, and it will be the great R & B and jazz rock hammond organist Brian Auger. Special treat this month: My kinda, sorta concert recollections from the early 1990’s Black Moon tour by ELP.
