On Recollections, I discuss my personal thoughts and memories of progressive rock and related music. These recollections will stretch back to my teenage years through the present era. On this episode, I will be discussing and playing the music from my personal recollections of the first time I heard one or more prog tunes from the jazz rock band Colosseum, then the British ELP tribute band Noddy’s Puncture, and the song “Lancelot and The Black Knight” by Rick Wakeman. On this month’s “Versus” segment, I will play the classic 007 movie theme “From Russia With Love” and compare it with it’s later prog cover as performed by Erik Norlander and sung by his wife Lana Lane. For you “completest”, that segment should be an interesting one to explore. Also I will feature prog from a non-prog band, and this month I will feature Midnight Oil.
